Yale University School of Art Yale Tomorrow campaign

School of Art

The Yale School of Art is a leader in the integration of the practice of painting, sculpture, photography, design, and new media. Artists and designers of unusual promise and strong motivation are provided an educational context in which they can explore the potential of their own talents in the midst of an intense critical dialogue. This dialogue is generated by their peers, by distinguished visitors, and by a faculty comprised of professional artists of acknowledged accomplishment.

The graduate student’s primary educational experience at Yale is centered on his or her own studio activity, supported by rigorous structured courses and the rich academic offerings found throughout Yale. The School is devoted not only to the refinement of visual skills, but to the cultivation of the mind. The School also offers an undergraduate art major for students in Yale College.

The Yale Tomorrow campaign’s goal is to ensure that the Yale School of Art and its faculty will have the critical support they need in the 21st century to prepare students for culturally significant careers in the visual arts. We invite you to join us as we embark on this ambitious effort.
